A Shout Out For Marc
I was reading through messages yesterday and came across this amazing post by Marc. I know you have heard and read about my journey but today with Marc’s permission I wanted to share his journey with you too.
Marc was inspired and motivated not just by my weight loss journey but The Fast Fix documentary also. I love reading these messages because it makes all the hard work we did worthwhile. He has done so amazingly well and I had the biggest smile yesterday when I read about his journey so far.
The impact The Fast Fix documentary has had on people is simply wonderful it really is. By doing the same diet we did in the clinic you can change your life considerably. You can improve the quality of your life considerably. There’s no getting away from it this diet and lifestyle change will help you in ways you won’t imagine. I know this because I have done it.
Below you will find Marc’s journey. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.

Week 13 complete. It’s been a week of highs and lows, to say the least. Just 2 weeks more weeks left of this part of the journey. Weight loss this week is a very satisfying 2.8lbs. Still no cheating!!
Just 1.4lbs to my 1st target, so I’ll confidently predict I’ll hit this next week. One week ahead of target would be fantastic. A 3 stone loss seems unreal in such a short period. 20% of me has disappeared, so hopefully only the crappy bits!!
So to the highs. Since I had a stent fitted in Jan. ’17, I’ve been on various pills including huge statins. Apart from the weight loss, my goal for this diet was to reduce my cholesterol to a normal level and get off some of the pills I’ve been on. It would seem like a good idea to have regular cholesterol testing for all as I had no idea I was high. I assumed that having a healthy diet, not drinking or smoking and being reasonably fit I would be OK. How wrong I was!
I had a blood test a couple of weeks ago, and this week I met with the quack to discuss the results and review my medication. The outcome is that my cholesterol level is now in the 3’s, from a start point of over 12. Mostly this is hereditary, but still, it was something I was keen to get on top of very quickly. Managed to get off the anticoagulant and now just take a small statin, the minimum beta blocker and an aspirin.
Great news that all the efforts have been worth it. It’s my body and my responsibility to do the best I can for it. Took me a while to get this sorted in my head after the heart issues, but the way forward is now clear; it’s up to me!
Now for the lows. When I started this, the well-used mantra ‘never trust a fart’ was so true!! Unfortunately, for the last 2 weeks, I’ve been in the opposite camp. I’ll spare the gory details, but needless to say nothing significant had happened for 2 weeks. Finally attacked the problem from both ends and now we have reached an understanding. Might need to continue with the same medication to keep on top of this. Not pleasant!
So still all positive for me. Onwards and downwards. Together we are doing this.
How bloody amazing is that? This is such an incredible success story but it is not a one-off thing. Thousands of people are having the same kind of results. People are not only losing weight they are lowering their cholesterol, healing their fatty livers, reversing type 2 diabetes, and reducing the symptoms of chronic health conditions like fibromyalgia etc.
