Well hello, I hope that everyone has had a wonderful weekend because I did; I had my head stuck in an amazing book for two days; which I will write about another day. Anyway today I thought I would share with you my September’s Birchbox contents. I received it last week but didn’t open it until today because I wanted to share it with you guys.
What is Birchbox?
Now I know some of you are probably now sitting there thinking to yourself, “what the fuck is Birchbox?” well I’m going to tell you. For the cost of £12.95 a month I receive a fabulous reusable little box. I have to say at this point the boxes are very well made and furthermore they act like a little drawer. Very sturdy and very useful – I use mine for all sorts of things. The design is different every month too. Now inside the box, you will find a selection of good size samples of beauty products, sometimes a full-size one and sometimes a free gift, for example, a makeup brush etc. Now we all love free things don’t we – well I know I do. And finally, in addition, to the products you receive a guide as to what the products are and consequently other details about them.
As you can see the Birchbox is packaged very well and always arrives intact.
A Quick Peep
This month Birchbox has partnered with Oliver Bonas – the independent British lifestyle brand that’s all about great design and fresh thinking. The theme of the box is work hard, play hard and be kind. As it says, you can do anything if you put your mind to it!
Everyone in receipt of Septemeber’s Birchbox will receive a full-size Manna Kadar Fantasy 3-in-1 makeup treat. Which is part of my personalised selection of beauty products which you complete on sign up. Plus, you’ll also find a Polaar Icy Magic Instant Eye Contour Energiser in every box – perfect for soothing tired under eyes when you’re go-go-go!
Psst… Finally, the lovely team at Oliver Bonas have also popped an exclusive voucher inside the box so you can treat yourself to some fashion and homeware treats, for an even brighter September.
First of all, the product I will tell you about is the Icy Magic Instant Eye Contour Energiser by Polaar. (The RRP for this product is £22). This soothing roll-on treat contains a cooling gel formula that’s packed with brightening ginseng to tone and rejuvenate your under-eye in a flash.
HOW Roll beneath your eyes, from the inner to the outer corner, morning and night.
The second product is Original Clear Balm by Dr PawPaw (RRP £6.95). This is a true multi-tasker! The star ingredient of this UK made balm is fermented paw paw – a fruit with naturally healing ingredients that lends this balm a multitude of hydrating uses.
HOW Use it as a lip balm or a moisturiser, to smooth split ends or to soothe sunburn – wherever you need a moisture boost!
The third product is another full size, yes a FULL-SIZE Fantasy 3-in-1 Blush, Highlighter, Eye Shadow by Manna Kadar (RRP £15). When you’re seekig an instant glow, this pearlised powder really delivers. As a result, the champagne-pink shade provides the perfect pop of colour to eyes and cheeks and velvety radiance to the rest of your complexion.
HOW Dust onto your eyelinds, cheeks, brow bone, and cupid’s bow for an instant healthy glow.
Will be interesting using this as it looks more brown than pink to me.
The fourth item is a full size, YES ANOTHER FULL-SIZE Boost Color Enhancing Lip Balm by Arrow (RRP £11). This high-tech balm is a favourite for good reason – it adjusts to your unique pH, as a result, it creates the perfect, just for you hue. Plus, it contains mango seed butter to hydrate and protects lips while you’re on the go.
HOW Throw it in your handbag, work bag, or gym bag, and swipe it on throughout the day. I have not used this yet but can’t wait to see what colour my lips turn, knowing my luck probably blue.
Finally, the last product is Protect & Detangle by Beauty Protector (RRP £18.50). Why use several hair products when one will do? This sweet-scented leave-in spritz as a result conditions, detangles, minimises frizz, protects colour, and adds shine to all hair types. Phew! Plus, it’s free from parabens and sulphates.
HOW Mist onto clean, damp hair from a few inches away. Comb through and style as normal.
I know I pay for this little box but it feels like I’m receiving a present every month. I can’t wait to see what is in next months box. Therefore next month I will share the contents again and will let you know how I got on with the products above.
Catch you later
Lots of Love xXx
