Well well well drum roll for me please… I made it to a second date which is a rarity for me so woo hoo. Very kindly took me to Currys to get a new hoover (review to follow) as my old one died a death which was followed by a trip to Ripon.
In at the deep end
Poor old Joseph got thrown into the deep end and while we were there we went and visited my son, his girlfriend and my gorgeous little grandson in their new home. Hats off to him he coped amazingly; got on great with my 2 year old grandson who really took to him. We took the canine sidekick with us who loves going in a car; head out the window all the way – I might try that myself one day.
On the way back from Ripon we decided to go to Ripley for an ice cream. Well that was the plan but by the time we got there it had literally just closed so no ice cream for me (very sad face here right now). Ripley ice cream is just the best. I will go again and so a proper review for you with photos to drool over.
Because the ice cream parlour was closed we decided to go for a walk down the side of Ripley Castle stopping to look over the wall to see the waterfall which was so loud but fab; love stuff like that. Harvey Houdini the canine sidekick is not able to walk in a straight line; he has to zig zag in front of you the whole time so he happily did that for a while. We got to a bench and had a sit down; beautiful spot looking towards the castle.
I would be lying if I said it was a first kiss but it was the first proper kiss and it was beautiful. A beautiful kiss in a beautiful place. I have to say hand on heart this guy just does the most amazing hugs together with forehead kisses, hair stroking, etc. I am not used to someone being so affectionate towards me but believe me I could get used to it. It has been a long time since anyone has made me feel special. I am feeling a bit intoxicated but in a good way. Third date on Sunday so watch this space.
