Getting On The Scales
After So there is not too much damage done following Saturday’s night out with my daughter, I was dreading getting on the scales this morning. I intended to drink and eat as I had given myself the night off. So after prosecco, cocktails, nachos, fries and a slice of pizza I have only put 1lb on. How I have managed that I do not know. Unless I get on them tomorrow and 6lbs appear suddenly.
Not Too Much Damage Done
I was supposed to be going out to celebrate a family members birthday on Wednesday night but it has been changed to tomorrow night now due to the football. So once that meal is out of the way I shall draw a line under it and get straight back on it and with no guilt. This is not a failure and that is because I chose this. You have to take ownership of your own weight loss journey. Life gets in the way sometimes and that is absolutely fine we are human after all and we all have lives to live.
A Lifestyle Change
Weight loss is not about food denial it is about the right choices. This is a complete lifestyle change. Don’t for one instance think that once you have lost all your weight you can go back to eating as you did before. Oh no no no that is not going to happen not if you want to keep it off at least. You can occasionally have the odd old style meal but it will be occasionally otherwise you end up on a slippery slope and back to where you started from.
You have to address everything when losing a lot of weight to make the most of this time to re-educate yourself about your body and the food it needs to remain healthy.
Keep A Record Of Your Journey
I recently released a diet and food diary/journal to help you stay on track. It has been proven that if you record everything that goes into your mouth along with your measurements etc you are more likely to stay on plan and be successful with your weight loss.
I was keeping my own records and drawing charts up every week which was starting to be a pain in the ass. I wanted something already done for me and couldn’t find one so I made my own. There is a space for your starting measurements medical as well as physical. A daily journal which you write down everything you eat, the amount of water you have drunk, any exercise you have undertaken, the mood you are in and also a space for notes. At the end of every week is a weekly summary to complete.
Also every 3 months there is another summary and at the end of the book at the six-month point another large table to fill in. This will help tremendously with keeping on track and it will fit in most handbags too. So below you will see some images from the book itself:

At the moment I am having more bars than shakes which I cut up and have throughout the day with cups of coffee. The last product I have in the day is either a whole bar, or one of the pancakes or a shake. With the shake, I add a scoop of collagen powder but you don’t have to do this. If I’ve been to the gym I will have a piece of chicken.
Back On It
So I have a couple of days to decide which plan I will follow after the birthday meal. I’m toying with the idea of Total Solution again to get me under the BMI 30 point. I will let you know on Wednesday.
