The Bars Are Back In Town
So after last nights birthday celebrations, I’m back on the Exante diet plan. Thank goodness I placed an order last week so I can start straight away. To be perfectly honest it was nice to have a meal at the weekend and one last night but I do actually miss being on the Exante diet. I hate being bloated and lethargic. Carbs just don’t work for me at all anymore. I miss that light feeling in the tummy.
So today it will be 4 Exante diet meal replacement bars and lots of water. I am also off to the gym today which is something else I need to ramp up; I’ve been going a lot less with this weather as it makes me feel so tired.
Don’t Be Afraid By Bars Instead Of Shakes
I was really hesitant when I started eating the bars and thought they wouldn’t fill me up but they are just as filling as the shakes if not more so. It’s not like eating a chocolate bar which can be devoured in seconds; for me anyway. These diet bars are proper meal replacements they contain all the vitamins and nutrients your body needs.
While on The Fast Fix we had mainly shakes with the odd replacement meal like shepherds pie etc. I mainly stuck to the shakes so moving on to the bars was a real treat for me. The one thing I struggled with was not being able to have biscuits with my cuppa. During the first 12 weeks I struggled with black coffee although I love it now.
So when moving onto the bars it was like woo hoo I’ve got something to go with my coffee again. I just cut the first 2 bars into 2 pieces to have with 4 coffees during the day and depending on what I am doing I sometimes do that also with the third. The fourth one I would have as late as possible and make it my favourite one and it all in one go.
Bars Are So Easy
The thing I also like about the bars is that there is no mixing and no cooking to do. Just unwrap and off you go; it doesn’t get any easier than that does it. They fit in your bag which is great also if you are off out somewhere. The only thing I would suggest at first is to just order one of all the flavours before buying a box of 50 just in case you don’t like a particular flavour. I personally can’t stand the coconut ones but others really like them.
Once you have found the products you like you are on to a winner. So don’t lose heart if the first couple you don’t like. It’s also worth re-testing different flavours a couple of months in as your tastes do sometimes change. I hated the peanut butter bars in the beginning; they are still not my favourite but occasionally I will buy a couple of them. They don’t really taste of peanut butter to me but they have a fudge consistency which every now and then I fancy.
My Top 5 Exante Diet Meal Replacement Bars
To help you with your choices I am going to share with you my top 5 Exante diet meal replacement bars. These are my top 5 and in my order of preference.
First Place – Lemon Yoghurt Bar
This was an easy choice for me it is the Lemon Yoghurt Bars. I was hesitant at first when I saw the word yoghurt but it is absolutely gorgeous. A definite taste of lemon with a really pleasant aftertaste. I find this one very moreish and definitely can’t cut this one in 3 I have to do it in 2. Failing that I will have it whole at the end of the day. It’s a really fresh tang on your tongue I absolutely love it.
Second Place – Strawberry Jam Bars
The strawberry jam yoghurt bars comes in at a very close second place to the lemon. It has a gorgeous red jam layer on the top which makes it taste really naughty. It is quite a dense bar which is fantastic as it takes longer to eat and you get to have a chew; something you can’t do with shakes.
Third Place – White Chocolate and Raspberry Bar
White chocolate and raspberry bars come in at third place. I seem to prefer the cereal type bars than the more denser ones but that is just my personal choice for me. I know a lot of people prefer the more fudge-like bars. I actually read the other day about one lady who takes off all the white chocolate bits and eats them all at the end of the day – if this makes you feel like you are having a treat then go for it.
Fourth Place – Toffee Nut and Raisin Bar
Some people really don’t like the toffee, nut and raisin bars but I love them. To be fair I don’t think I would be impressed with eating it on its own as a meal but for some reason when eaten alongside my black coffee the tastes compliment each other really well. So yes I love these so much but only while drinking coffee. They have a bit of a caramelised toffee taste, I don’t get the raisin coming through though or nut.
Fifth Place – Chocolate Caramel Crunch Bar
This was a difficult choice as I also like to have the peanut butter one occasionally. But the chocolate caramel crunch made it in at number five. I think it wins because it is chocolate. It also has a bit of a crunch which the peanut butter doesn’t have. Again it is a case of personal preference. Don’t get me wrong it doesn’t taste like a Mars bar but you do feel as if you are eating a chocolate bar. This is slightly smaller than the other bars but it is quite dense and is still filling.

If you click on the meal replacement bar links above it will take you straight to the products. Also, all my readers are then automatically entitled to my exclusive money off code TRACEY35 – This will give you an absolutely massive 35% off your shop.

Time For A Cuppa
This post has made me quite pecky think I must be due a cuppa and half a toffee and nut bar by now. It’s thirsty work this blogging – I do love a coffee.
