My Favourite Products
I’ve received several messages asking to know which beauty products I use. So I have compiled a list of my top ten products that I can’t live without The first one that springs to mind is:
illamasqua Gel Sculpt in Silhouette
This product is simply amazing. I have tried so many contour kits from Primark to Anastasia Beverley Hills. But this one product is my go to every single time. Don’t be put off by the colour as it goes on to your skin a lot lighter which enables you to build it up as much as you like. Remember my skin is quite fair and it is perfect. My daughter has darker skin but she uses this very same product. The texture makes it just glide on effortlessly and you can blend it so easily and it leaves no harsh lines and the result is unbelievable. I also draw a line down each side of my nose really easily with it. I much prefer this to a powder.
Gel Sculpt in Silhouette is a unique contouring gel creation that offers subtle definition to cheeks with ease. The hue of Silhouette creates a delicate shadow under cheekbones and along the jawline which can be blended with ease to achieve beautiful, natural contours. You will love it I promise.
Using your fingers or the Highlighter Brush, apply Gel Sculpt across the temples, hollows of the cheek and jawline and blend gently. To be applied prior to setting foundation. Personally, I just sweep it onto my face as is.
Use a small amount of Gel Colour over the lips to deepen your natural lip colour.
illamasqua Loose Powder – 010
I was recommended this by a makeup artist. This powder will give your make up the perfect finish. Finely milled and perfectly matt, Illamasqua Loose Powder is soft and light, and fixes your make-up flawlessly, holding it in place while you hold everyone’s attention. It is a must in the kits of the Illamasqua Art Team when working on set. I also use this powder to ‘bake’ my make up. I also pat it under my eyes while applying eyeshadow then you can easily sweep away any fallout and set the concealer at the same time.
Loose Powder can be used on its own for a mattifying effect or to set any foundation to hold it in place. Apply by using a Powder Brush or the puff supplied. I use a small triangular cosmetic sponge.
illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer
I never used to use a primer until this past year. Now I have I can’t do without it. It creates a fine silky feeling layer over your skin and your make up last so much longer. It leaves your skin feeling soft and flawless. I have quite dry skin and this stops that flaky look. I know it is not cheap so I just use it for special occasions or to spoil myself.
Part hydrator, part primer, Hydra Veil instantly hydrates and smooths skin through a self-levelling, futuristic clear gel. Microalgae, Vitamin C and B3 work together to help maintain skins hydration levels, creating a healthy looking, balanced finish. Plant extracts also provide a calming and refreshing feeling, leaving skin fully prepped to apply your chosen foundation.
Prior to foundation application, use the spoon provided to apply one scoop of Hydra Veil to the palm of your hand. Using the Foundation or Highlighter Brush, gently brush the product from your hand and apply all over the face, right up to the lash line until the product is fully absorbed.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
Now I absolutely love this foundation. It has amazing coverage and it is a lot cheaper than the big names. I also use the matching brand concealer. Just can’t fault either of them.
