It’s All Go At This End
Oh crikey, here we go Monday Madness, the start of a crazy week. I feel like I’ve been chasing my tail the past few days. Time to slow down and prioritise everything I need to do. I’m having one of those days where there is so much I need to do I don’t have a clue where to start. Usually, those days end up with me feeling so overwhelmed by everything that I end up procrastinating and doing nothing.
So today is going to be all about organising, lists, and lists of lists lol. I have been making jewellery like a mad thing this weekend and I have to say there are escaped beads everywhere. My hoover is going to be so noisy by the time I’ve cleared up.
But is that a fanfare I can hear? Nope, but it should be… I have found a great website for organising absolutely everything. I’ve just literally started using it but have to say it is absolutely fantastic. It is called Trello. More importantly, it is free. I’ve been feeling like a weight is being lifted off my shoulders today by just writing the lists in there. You can have as many lists as you like but there is a lot more to it than that.
CREATE A TRELLO BOARD & DOWNLOAD THE APP
The first step is to set up a Trello board with the following lists:
- To Do
- [Month 1]
- [Month 2]
Then you can also download the Trello app on your phone and keep it on your desktop, and whenever you get a brilliant wave of genius and you want to note down an idea, just open the app or browser and add the idea as a card in the ‘Ideas’ list.
If you do this on your phone, it will sync to your desktop, so you can be out and about noting down ideas and they’ll be there ready for you when you get home.
CAPTURE IDEAS & OUTLINE WHEN YOU HAVE TIME
Then once you are home at a desktop and you have 10 spare minutes, you can go through your ideas and write a basic outline for each. For me, this literally just involved writing the main headings and subheadings of my future posts and leaving it at that!
At this point, I’ll also label the card with a colour code to say whether this is ‘To Do’ or ‘In Progress’ (ie. half written in my blog drafts). There is so much you can do with Trello. I’ve only been using it for a very short time but know I will be using it every day from now on.
Get Rid Of That Monday Madness Feeling Now
If you are like me and get bogged down with everything I think it’s a good idea to update it before you go to bed as it clears your head a bit. Check it in the morning and prioritise what you need to do for the day. Try and complete 2 or 3 of the things on there. Simple as that.
Give it a go… it’s fab…
