Can You Believe That!
Yes, it is official Tracey Ward put on a pair of shorts for the first time since probably being at school! I had my shorts on honestly and I am still in shock. It was so hot yesterday and I’m not one usually for sitting in the sun and consequently my vitamin D levels are very often not high enough. So I thought sod it as I had a bad sleep the previous night so I thought I’d have a power nap outside.
I Had My Shorts On
Now I knew I would have to find something suitable for outside and went through the wardrobe and found a pair of shorts that I bought about 3 years ago and never wore because they were too small for me. And as you do you refuse to take them back because you want to fit into them one day. Well, yesterday I bloody well did. I not only fit into them I had to put a belt on them because they were a bit too big. I’ll say that again they were a bit too big! Just excuse me while I do a power strut around the living room.
No Photographic Evidence
Fortunately for you, my daughter wasn’t there to record this moment in history so you don’t get to see me wearing them although today after my gym session I might come back and put them on again and go for another soak up of vitamin D. I need to get a bit of a tan I am that pale I am almost see through. I’m like a guppy fish. I keep telling everyone I’m pale and interesting. Think it is time I was tanned and adventurous.
Get Out The Shades
So there I was out in the sunshine, borrowed my daughter’s sunglasses (don’t tell her – it seems to be the law that she can borrow anything of mine, but if I borrow anything of hers – world war 3 – so will keep that to ourselves shhh!)
So faded jean shorts, flip-flops (I even painted my toenails now that I can reach the bloody things), a strappy vest top and my headphones which my lovely son gave me – thanks Sam. Covered in suncream and listening to Paolo Nuitini – Caustic Love (one of my top ten albums for Desert Island Disks – do they still do that? that might be a blog post soon).
Anyone For Ice Cream?
I lasted about an hour outside which is a record for me I was drenched by the time I got in. Now the thing you want most in that weather is ice cream. But remember you can kind of make a mock ice cream with the Exante diet meal replacement shakes. Just mix with 100ml water and ice cubes – gorgeous! We weren’t allowed to do that in The Fast Fix but I can now!
You can use any of the shakes to make the ice cream so click on the link below and use my exclusive code TRACEY35 to get a massive 35% discount off your shop. I think this afternoon I will be going through all of my flavours and do a bit of experimenting. Tracey’s Ice Cream Parlour here we come!
I’m still waiting for the winner to claim his prize from this weeks competition so if I don’t hear anything in a few days I will draw out another name.
And don’t forget – keep those fluids up! And I’m not talking gin and tonic!
