We Can Do This – You Can Do This
So yesterday was the big day. I took ownership of the final push to a healthy BMI. Things are only difficult if you let them be. So much of this journey is a battle inside of our own heads so if you can tap into that amazing brain of ours and understand what we are dealing with the eating bit should be easier. I will talk about habits making new ones and getting rid of old ones in future posts. Also in more detail with my voluntary clients that I’m going to be coaching.
As I said in yesterdays post it is really important to take measurements at the very start and then on the same day every week; until you reach your goal. Measurements don’t lie to you and the mirror does! It is inevitable that you will have weeks where you don’t lose weight no matter how hard you have tried and this happens for lots of reasons. This is why it is so important to take measurements as some weeks you can lose inches and not pounds. It is also a good thing to have to look back on when you start to feel a bit fed up with it all.
Now I know you won’t feel like taking a photo of yourself looking your worst and in underwear. But when you reach your goal you will thank me I promise. You don’t have to show it to one single person but believe me you will want to show the world when you get there. Take one from the front, back and the side. When you have a bad day you look back at these. I know I mentioned about measurements and photographs yesterday but I just want to reiterate how important it is.
Exante Total Solution Diet Day Two
So yesterday I had my first product of the day at midday. Luckily I got up late due to illness so I didn’t have to wait too long. Today I will try and leave it to midday again. I always seem to be hungrier towards the end of the day so think it is a good time for me to start. Try and work out when it is you are the hungriest and adjust your timings accordingly as it will be easier for you to stick to.
If you are not hungry until 1 pm then have the first one then. You have to do what is right for you with this one. Breakfast being the most important meal of the day is not actually the case. In fact by using intermittent fasting and having a long break between your last product and the first one of the following day is actually better for you. I talk about intermittent fasting on one of my podcasts.
Yesterday’s meals consisted of a shake, another shake and the last meal of the day was a pancake mix turned into a waffle. Bloody gorgeous it was too. I started midday then had the next product at 3 pm and the final meal at 6 pm.

Exante Diet Meal Replacement Shakes
I have to say I have fallen in love with the shakes all over again. Recently I’ve been having the bars every day which has been great. The only problem I found with it is I was starting to re-establish the connection between biscuit and coffee which was my weakness before I started The Fast Fix. I ran out of my bars at the weekend and made the decision to use the shakes that I have in stock before I get any more bars. I need to reinforce to my myself that coffee does not mean bar as I was starting to creep more bars into the day which obviously results in no weight loss.
Your Tastes Do Change
To everyone new that is starting today, I want to reassure you that your tastes do and will change. The very first day on The Fast Fix I had a cherries and berries and I absolutely hated it. The second one I had I made using fridge cold water and that made a huge difference to the taste. By the end of the week I was actually enjoying them and the following week I was starting to look forward to them. So don’t give up because you will start liking them I promise.
You need to mix them according to taste. I personally use 350ml of fridge cold water in mine as opposed to 200ml; you need to do whatever it is you like best. With regards to the pancake mix obviously, you need to stick to 100ml as instructed.
Remember Everyone Is Different
You need to remind yourself that everyone is different and try not to get disheartened when you read someone lost 5lb that week and you only lost 1lb. In The Fast Fix my weight loss was a lot slower than the other 4 but it was still a loss and that is the most important thing. Remember this is “your” weight loss journey and there is no right or wrong amount of weight to lose each week. If you stick to the plan I can assure you that the weight will go – have faith in yourself and in the diet and you will succeed.
Very Low-Calorie Diets And Motivation
For a very long time, everyone was told that very low-calorie diets or VLCD’s are not good for you and as soon as you stop you will put it all back on and more. Yes, that is true but only if you go straight back to the way you were eating before starting the diet. With VLCD’s you can lose weight fast and this keeps you very motivated so once you get to the end of the first week and see the difference on the scales it will spur you on for the next week and so on.
Use the time on the diet to re-educate yourself regarding healthy food and the meals you will be eating once you have got to your goal weight. I do believe that low carb diets are the way forward for me and anyone with type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes. I will be adding more and more low carb recipes to the blog as time goes on.
