It’s Not Just About Shakes
I am doing this post because I know with exception of the strawberry flavour, the shakes are now temporarily out of stock. However, I have it on good authority they are definitely on their way back and with some exciting new flavours to boot. The thing with all of the products you are either going to love them or hate them. They are a bit like marmite but when you do find the right ones for you; life is so much easier. Just as long as you make sure you order enough in and don’t run out like I did last week. Also those first 3 days on them I wasn’t impressed I didn’t like them but hand on heart I love them now so persevere. Your taste buds really do change.

Exante Diet Meal Replacement Shepherds Pie Meal
I noticed there are some shepherd pie meals on the website and I have to say I actually really like these. I had them first while in the house on ITV’s The Fast Fix Clinic. It does look like baby food I agree but it isn’t. For me, the shepherd’s pie was a bit like comfort food.
One of my food weaknesses before the diet was mashed potato I just adored the stuff and this was pretty much a close second to that for me. It is the consistency of instant mash but a bit better in my opinion. You can also add things to it. I found that you need to let it stand for a bit before eating otherwise the peas etc will be too hard; there aren’t many in there. With the shepherd’s pie, I would add a bit of salt and lots of black pepper and also white pepper on the top (I love pepper). I would also add chopped parsley, or mixed herbs and a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
Exante Diet Meal Replacement Spaghetti Bolognese Meal
I also really liked the spaghetti bolognese and to this, I would add a bit of oregano or basil and also a dash of Tabasco sauce because I love the spicy kick it gives. Again let it stand for a bit so the pasta bits soften enough.
Try The Other Meals
I did try the carbonara and I personally did not like it. However, Jeana a fellow housemate really liked it so again it’s that marmite thing some you just won’t like and some you really will. The sweet and sour noodles seem to be extremely popular although I haven’t tried them yet. I do have some but just not got around to making them. With regards to the sweet and sour we couldn’t have them in the clinic as we were only allowed certain products because we were trying to reverse type 2 diabetes and reduce our fatty livers.
The difference between the 2 scans is incredible. My liver was the second highest in the group for fat content and now it is back to almost normal.
Moving Forward From Thursday
Which brings me back to the next phase of my diet with Exante diet meal replacement meals and shakes. I have been since March using the bars, and pancakes etc. I have recently had a week of eating normal food on at least 3 separate occasions due to birthdays etc.
This has left me feeling absolutely rotten, sluggish, tummy problems, and lethargic it just did not agree with me at all. Because of this, I am now going back to basics which for me is 4 shakes a day and plenty of water.
My week starts on a Thursday these days I know that sounds a bit odd but for me, it is a subconscious thing maybe because whenever I have started a diet on a Monday it never worked. So if there are any of you guys there wanting to start again or just follow me on this psyche yourself up for Thursday as it is not that long away now.
I am also stopping with the extra food on gym days unless I feel as if my body really desperately needs it. On these days I will not be having the cheese omelettes like I have been but instead, a small handful of nuts (peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts) or I will whizz up half an avocado in one of the shakes.
Now I don’t like avocados at all but a couple of years ago I did a smoothie diet and my favourite smoothie had half an avocado in it. You couldn’t taste it but it did give a really lovely creamy texture. So I am going to try that with the shake on a gym day and I will let you know how it goes. I’ve got a feeling this time it might not work but if it does – fantastic.
Journal While I Do It
As you know I created a food diary or food journal depending from which side of the pond you are. I will be using mine from Thursday and will share this with you along the way and how it works. It’s a great little book and will last you for 6 months with loads of tables for you to complete with your various measurements etc. It has been shown that by keeping records of what you eat etc while losing weight you tend to be more successful.
A Well Done Shout Out
I just want to say congratulations to all the lovely people that have been messaging me about their success and a quick shout out to Heather who has done incredibly well this past week and lost over 6lbs and that’s with a thyroid problem. Woo Hoo well done Heather.
I am still going to do a podcast; I am researching it all now and doing tutorials. However, I didn’t realise how much there is to it. So it’s a bit of a learning curve I’m on but now I’m back firing on all cylinders (unlike my car) I will crack on with it. There will be podcasts about all sorts of things and I’ll talk more about that nearer to the time.
More Products Added
I have been busy today again putting more products onto my Zazzle shop. I am doing a lot of products to raise awareness for mental health issues alongside other things. Today I have added a selection of badges and shopping bags.
I think I am going to put the badges on my bag whatever you do with them wear them with pride and don’t be scared to talk about them.
