Old Spring Well
Sadly last night my boyfriend wasn’t able to get over due to unexpected circumstances. However, as I had a full face of makeup and my daughter was wanting to go out I had a dinner date with my daughter. We went to The Old Spring Well and was pleasantly surprised.
Dinner Date With My Daughter
We decided not to go for starters so that we could have a pudding. We both had steak, chips, large flat mushroom, half a tomato and a bit of rocket. Call me old-fashioned but I like peas with my steak which they did for me which was great and Jean had peppercorn sauce.
It actually dawned on me last night that I had never ever been out with my daughter on our own for a meal. I absolutely loved it; we had a really nice bit of quality time together.
The place itself is very clean, very cosey and without other customers looking over your shoulder. It was midweek so wasn’t heaving with people and service was very good and very quick. There was a lovely little fireplace with real flames which added to the atmosphere.
Time For Pudding
As soon as I saw the menu I knew it was going to happen but I couldn’t decide which one to have. I seriously have a sweet tooth which is a nightmare when you have diabetes. But I succumbed and I had Chocolate and Orange Bread and Butter Pudding with double cream. My mouth was in heaven it was bloody gorgeous. Wish I could go there every night.
I think we will be turning this into a monthly event.
