Finally Had A Delivery
Welcome to day 6 of the Exante diet total solution plan. I am glad this week is coming to an end. I went to the gym yesterday and the gym and the total solution is not a good mix well for me at least. But on a good note when I got back home my Exante delivery turned up woohoo! I was so excited about opening that box.

So yesterday I started off with the strawberry jam, followed by toffee, nut and raisin and finished with a chocolate caramel crunch which was lovely. It’s not a replacement for a Twix so don’t get too excited although after six months it’s as good as a Twix in my eyes. There is no caramel layer but a taste of caramel, and almost a chewy slightly crunchy texture and a coating of chocolate; I really did like it and will definitely order that one again. So tomorrow I will be trying some of the other flavours and I will let you know how I get on with those.

Because I went to the gym and felt exhausted yesterday afternoon I treated myself to a bit of a naughty snack; nothing major but I must say I love this product and I’m going to share it with you. Because I’m sharing it with you it doesn’t mean you have to go and eat a load. I’ve just had a bad day but been to the gym so kind of earnt it; in my eyes at least. It doesn’t mean I’ve fallen off the wagon I’ve just listened to my body and have gone for the healthiest thing I had in the house.
Now I usually have a boiled egg or chicken breast but “Miss Unprepared Wardy” didn’t have either in. I think I actually talked about this earlier didn’t I about always being prepared and having stuff in just in case! So here you go this is a prime example of what not to do and the conclusion is today I will be off to the shops for more eggs and chicken. However, the snack I did have wasn’t too bad nutritionally; well it could have been a lot worse. Who am I trying to kid?
What I had was 2 packs of Mr Porky Crispy Strips. I absolutely love these bloody things. It’s like pork scratchings but without those horrible hairy bits (excuse me while I gag thinking about it). They are light, crispy, the odd one gives you a nice hard crunch.
I don’t know what it is with me and crunch factor when I was pregnant with my 3 I had an obsession with crunching ice cubes with my teeth. I couldn’t stop doing it. Anyway back to Mr Porky crispy strips. Now you have to be careful because Mr Porky does a lot of products so don’t get the wrong one by mistake. I will show you a photo of the packet.
As you can see from the back the carbs are extremely low. However, the one thing I have literally only just noticed is that it states this bag is 2 servings! I seriously hadn’t noticed that before but might explain a few things today when I haven’t lost any weight. Buy at least I haven’t put any on either. To be honest that is quite deceiving as the bag is pretty much the same size as a normal packet of crisps. It won’t stop me eating them but I will only be incorporating these if I have worked my butt off for it first. And of course little Miss Piggy Pants had two packets of Mr Porky – no more Mr Porky for a month lady!
Trip To Leeds
Had a trip to Leeds this afternoon with my son’s new tortoise. He’s got some breathing problems poor little thing he fits in the palm of your hand; very cute. The vet was lovely though and he needs to take him back in a couple of weeks. He left home last year (my son, not the tortoise) and I’m still being mum’s taxi service. The tortoise is called Arthur which I love; think it’s a great name for a tortoise. Learnt so much from the vet though I found it really interesting. Anyway, Arthur, the tortoise is another story but fingers crossed he will be ok.
I think today is going to consist of the supermarket, sitting in the garden (if the clouds disappear), soak in the bath and a good film. What are you guys going to be up to? This is where it gets harder in the Summer months, BBQ’s and I think there will be a few of them this weekend with the nice weather.
So try and stay focussed and if you do end up eating something go for the healthiest version and enjoy it. Don’t make yourself feel guilty and then end up going nuts and eating everything in sight. Think of it as a “taste” and not a “portion” but don’t make a habit of it.
