Week 2 Weigh In
Thank you for joining me on this; day 15 of 28 of my join me and lose weight for good plan. And yes today is the official weigh in for week 2. I am so very pleased to announce that I have in fact lost another pound. Before I hear anyone going, just a pound? I am seriously happy with it; I honestly truly am. Have you ever seen a pound of fat? I will show you shortly what a pound of fat looks like but more than that I am so close to breaking the weight barrier. I’ve been maintaining at 13st 6lb for a couple of months but now in the past two weeks I’ve lost nearly half a stone; I’m ecstatic.
I feel like I have been 13st something for ever at the minute. I try not to get down with not losing pounds as I know my clothes are fitting better and I’m not as bloated either. But it is also a great sense of achievement to break that stone barrier. I don’t care what anyone says.
As long as I stick to plan and exercise at least a little bit there is no reason why this time next week I will be crying with joy because I am finally 12st something instead. I am seriously excited by this and that will keep me focussed for the rest of the week and I hope that you can get something from that too.
Setting little goals like that I find is so important. When I look back I’ve come such a long way it’s amazing how we continue to put ourselves down for not doing better. WTF? I’m doing feckin amazing and that is what I need to be telling myself every day. It is not just about getting back into a size 12 pair of jeans again (one of my goals) but the fact is that I am getting healthier with each day. So yes set the goal to get back into those jeans, get into the wedding dress, look good on a beach, be able to fit on a swing with your grandson at the park. But remember you are also getting healthier.
All these things are fantastic but more importantly or just as important is the fact your liver is losing its fat. Your pancreas is losing it’s fat. The visceral fat surrounding your internal organs is disappearing. This is what is so important. As I mentioned before you don’t need to be obese to have those problems as you will see from the documentary.
My liver was in an awful state before I started this journey and I can’t wait for you to see the difference this week.
Day 15 of 28 Of My Join Me And Lose Weight For Good Plan
Now as I mentioned over the weekend I was going to try a Bulletproof coffee this morning. Well I did and I have to say it was rather nice. I am going to do a post today about it all and about the science and theory behind the Bulletproof coffee; so won’t go into too much detail in this post.
I have been very intrigued over the past couple of days since using MCT oil because the two days I have used it, my hunger pangs have at least halved. I still don’t know if that is psychological but I definitely noticed a difference.
BulletProof Coffee and MCT Oil
So as I said the past couple of days my first coffee in the morning has contained 1 tsp of MCT oil. Because it is oil it leaves a slight film around your cup as you drink so when you have finished your cup; don’t wash it. You will find if you make your next cup of normal coffee in that cup you will see a slight remaining oil layer on the top of the coffee. That way you are not losing any of it and my third cup I don’t wash either. Not until I am satisfied that I have consumed as much of it as I can.
However today with having my first Bulletproof coffee I had to make my coffee slightly differently. Now over the weekend I looked at all my kitchen gadgets and was happy to find out that my food processor had a mill attachment. Hope mill is the right word. Either way it is a small attachment that fits to the food processor base. I’m assuming you can use it for herbs, nuts and coffee etc.
So I opened my new coffee beans very excitedly because I have never ground beans before. I felt quite sophisticated don’t you know. Anyway I will be honest I wasn’t impressed with the smell of them but I loved the feel of them in my hands. I know I don’t get out much. Anyway having never ground my own coffee before I wasn’t sure how many to use. I used approximately 2 tbsp of beans and ground it up. Popped the ground coffee into my cafetière topped it up with 2 cups of boiling water and left it for 5 minutes and then pushed down the plunger.
When it was done I poured this coffee into my shake blender with 1 tbsp of organic butter. It has to be organic as then you know that the cows have eaten their natural food which is grass. Believe me this is important. I whizzed it up and it turns a lovely caramel colour. When it is whizzed enough pour it into your cup and then I added my MCT oil to the cup. I did not want to mix that bit in the blender as I did not want to leave any on the sides of the blender. Then it was time to taste. I have to say hand on heart it was ok. It was really quite nice and it doesn’t taste of butter it just gives the coffee a creamy taste. It was actually quite delicious.
Now I have to say at this point I have had this coffee in replacement of my morning shake. Purely because the calorie content will be equivalent. For the rest of the day I will have 3 Exante diet meal replacements; possibly bars depending on how I feel. If I do have bars I will divide them into 3 pieces as this seems better for me. You don’t have to follow me with the bulletproof coffee just in case it jeopardises your weight loss. I’ll carry on with it and see how it works for me over the next couple of weeks then you can make your own mind up.
How’s Your Week Gone?
As you know today is day 15 of 28 of my join me and lose weight for good plan and I’d love to know how have you done this week? Hope you have all done ok. Remember just take one day at a time and when you have a wobble picture yourself in the end result. Close your eyes and concentrate. See yourself in your goal scenario; for me, it will be in a pair of size 12 jeans. Look at yourself, make it in full colour, step inside that image of yourself. look at the smile on your face and imagine those feelings you will have when you look in the mirror. In your head imagine yourself in those jeans, how are you feeling in them? How do you look? Concentrate on that image. Do that every day; keep focused on the end result.
Right time for another cuppa; no butter this time though. I’ve got a full on week this week with writing mainly. The documentary gets aired so will be busy with things related to that. I am also in the process of adding my handmade jewellery to the shop in this blog. Still more to put in it too. What is it they say about a woman job is never done? Busy busy busy but that’s good less time to think about biscuits.
So keep up the good work guys you are doing fantastically well. And for those of you that have just joined us, you can access exante meal replacement meals and products on the button above and you can also have my exclusive code of TRACEY35 which will give you a massive 35% off all meal replacement bars, shakes and meals.
Oh and get that water down you.. it makes a huge difference.
Now for me that cuppa and then I will publish the post about bulletproof coffee.
