My First Book

As most of you know I published my first book of poetry back in 2016.  Why Rainbows May Cry was a hugely cathartic experience for me from the start to the end.  I never intended to publish this as a book; the poetry was a way for me to express the emotions that I was experiencing and feeling at the time.   The poems are about love and loss and the nightmare that is the world of online dating.  I seemed to go from one disaster to another and the best way for me to deal with it was through poetry.

Coming Soon – A Darker Shade of Blue

Mental Health Awareness Poetry Anthology”    I set up an online support group approximately 3 years ago to support people in my area with various mental issues and also for people living with or who have loved ones that suffer from mental health issues.  Subsequently, I have found writing and poetry a cathartic way of expressing my feelings.  I am in the process of putting together a book of poetry written by these people and others that are going through this.  It is to increase awareness of mental health issues in this country.  A staggering 16 people commit suicide in this country and that is 16 too many.  It needs to be talked about and talked about now.
