What is Birchbox?
Allow me to introduce you to Birchbox and my April Birchbox Review. Now I know some of you are probably now sitting there thinking to yourself, “what the hell is Birchbox?” well I’m going to tell you. For the cost of £12.95 a month I receive another fabulous reusable little box full of beauty goodies.
Furthermore, I have to say at this point the boxes are very well made and furthermore they act like a little drawer. In addition, these boxes are very sturdy and very useful – subsequently, I use mine for all sorts of things. The design is different every month too.
Now inside the box, you will find a selection of good size samples of beauty products, sometimes a full-size one and sometimes a free gift, for example, a makeup brush etc. Now we all love free things don’t we – well I know I do.
And finally, in addition, to the products you receive a guide as to what the products are and consequently other details about them. So sit back, relax and read my April Birchbox review.
April Birchbox Review
This month Birchbox has teamed up with the iconic British brand Cath Kidston to celebrate their 25th Birthday. Yes, they’ve been cheering people up for the past quarter of a century so they couldn’t think of a better way to bring this partnership to bring a little sunshine to your month! Amongst the five beauty treats you will find something to add a little glow to your skin (and your day!) and a very special limited edition treat.

Baked goodies are almost a mood brightener (homemade cookies and gingerbread we are looking at you!). Likewise, this baked treat is an instant complexion illuminator. Just swerve a fluffy brush across the marbled powder and sweep over cheekbones for that lit-from-within glow.

Cath Kidston
Hand Cream RRP £2.50
Along with the usual suspects found in your handbag – keys, mobile phone, old receipts – we’d recommend saving a spot for this hand cream. Not only is the exclusive Birthday Rose packaging as pretty as a picture but the floral lotion inside will leave your skin feeling silky soft and smooth.

Marcelle
Gentle Makeup Remover for Sensitive Eyes RRP £14.50
You might want your makeup to be smudge proof, budge proof and waterproof when it’s on but what about when you take it off? This advanced makeup remover whisks away all traces of product with ease – ideal when you don’t want to put up a fight. Plus, it diminishes dark circles and de-puffs at the same time.

AfterSpa
Magic Makeup Remover Cloth RRP £8.95
Forget the various lotions and potions that usually assist with your makeup removal. With this cloth, there’s only one thing that you need – water! Wet the cloth and massage it over your face to break down impurities and remove oil types of make-up. Just give it a spin in the washing machine before your first use. At this point, I just think it is important to mention that I have received this product in another box. This is the first time that this has happened and because Birchbox doesn’t like this happening I had a choice of a product or a £5 voucher towards anything on their website. I chose the voucher because I was so impressed with one of the samples I received last week which was a Mascara. I received the mascara today and will do a little extra review for you after this.

BADgal BANG! Volumising Mascara RRP £21.50
Prepare for lash lift off with this new, thickening mascara. Its gravity-defying formula contains aero-particles, commonly found in astronauts’ spacesuits, to deliver volume with lightweight lift in every swipe. The special slimpact! brush is moulded to catch every single lash, from corner to corner – just wiggle it from roots to tips for an impactful look that will last up to 36 hours. As I mentioned above after trying this sample I had to buy the full-size version it is just amazeballs! I mean serious amazeballs! I just love it. Yes, I know it’s a bit pricer well a lot pricier than I usually spend on a mascara but I did use my £5 Birchbox Voucher and had a VIP discount so I treated myself; because after all I am a VIP well to my canine sidekick I am.
